My 13-year-old daughter Betsy has taken an interest in photography. I have never really encouraged or discouraged her but she definitely has a pretty good eye.

The one thing that she does that a lot of young photographers fail to do is fill the frame.

This morning she headed outside to make some pix around the house. I gave her a bit of advice. I told her that the easiest way to make your images look professional is to shoot with the lowest aperture possible.

Here is one of her “f/2.8 and be there” snaps.
