mood lighting

On a sunny afternoon, the light in Chicago’s Loop is amazing and the best of that light always seems to be light that is being reflected off of other buildings.

As I walked down Dearborn Street today, I noticed a patch of dappled sunlight on one of the tired but timeless structures that populate the southern end of downtown.

On my way to an assignment, I quickly snapped off a handful of frames as a bike messenger barreled past.

It is one of those photographs that has no home in the newspaper world but reminds me of why I love photography so much.

It makes me feel.
