As I was finishing up transmitting photos from Wrigley Field’s third base photo position after today’s game, Chicago Cubs’ Ryan Theriot came out onto the field for a television interview.

Following behind “The Riot” was his 4-year-old son Houston.

Houston made a bee line for the outfield and started chasing gulls and rolling around in the grass.

While he was frolicking in the empty ball park, the sprinklers came on and gave Houston a soaking.

Back to his dad he ran.

It was a sweet little scene and I was glad that I hung around “The Friendly Confines” long enough to witness it.
