the tax men cometh

While driving home from church yesterday, I saw Tony Foster standing along Douglas Road in Montgomery, Illinois dressed as the Statue of Liberty.

Definitely not an uncommon occurrence this time of year. The uncommon thing was that I stopped to make his photograph.

I have been wanting to do a portrait series on these human tax service advertisements for a couple of years now.

Today, I came across Jeff Detrick standing along Route 59 in Naperville dressed as Uncle Sam.

Now I have two.

With a little under 3 months to go before tax day on April 15th, I am guessing that I will have plenty more opportunities to add to my collection.

  1. I LOVE IT! Especially that they both have the same expression that says “Its Tax Time!”
