Another Monday. Another Opening Day.

Seven days after being at US Cellular Field for the White Sox home opener, I was sent to Wrigley Field for the Cubs’ lid lifter.

The stories of the day were the first game under the Cubs’ new owners, the Ricketts, and the awakening of the Cubs’ offense.

Powered by three home runs, the Cubs defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 9-5.

Like I have mentioned before, there is no place better to shoot baseball than the Friendly Confines.

I especially enjoy tracking home runs into and over the bleachers and capturing the reactions of the fans as they reach for a souvenir.

This particular image is from Jeff Baker’s 3rd inning big fly that landed on Waveland Avenue.
